In this post I’m going to walk you through a Jewish marriage ceremony we planned for our Indian-Jewish-American client. This wedding example in particular was more Jewish centric because the bride’s family was planning their Indian inspired wedding in India set to be a few months after their American wedding.
Danielle and Brendan dreamed of having a laid back backyard-vibe wedding. While their venue was far from being a backyard, the Long Beach Museum of Art had a large lawn and an ocean view patio perfect for their intimate celebration. Their family traveled from all over but mostly from New York as they're California transplants.
In the midst of all the planning, have you given thought to that moment when you say I do? One of your wedding planning tasks should be to review wedding ceremony ideas and traditions. My bride, Steph was interested in her options for ceremony styles, which is why I'd like to dedicate this post to her.
I planned my own wedding and not having a planner or at the very least an event manager is one of my biggest regrets from my planning experience. I settled a lot, I let opinions of others influence my decisions, I was deceived by my Pinterest wedding board, I budgeted incorrectly and I spent very little days of my engagement with my bride tribe or on date nights with my fiancé.
My advice for any bride that is planning her wedding would be to never feel forced into doing anything that relates to your wedding details. For example, asking someone to be in your bridal party, inviting someone out of courtesy, saying "Yes" to something you don't necessarily agree with, or taking on something that's out of your budget. I think that there is no right or wrong way to plan your wedding. In the end, your wedding day should ultimately convey your love story and your sense of style as a couple.
Inspired by tradition, history and the woods, this Southern California winter wedding was adorned with plumosa and natural wood in a historic castle.
